Android is an open source platform allows editing its source and install what user wants. But this open source doesn't come out of the box and editing your device files is not legal according to most of the smartphone manufacturers. But, most of the users prefer using this feature, commonly known as rooting. While most of the users enjoy their device performance after rooting, few users don't like it & love to stay on stock because the can't enjoy OTA updates or might be facing some stability issue. Unrooting doesn't claim your warranty back (It only possible with Samsung, LG & HTC devices.). Coming to the point, today we'll discuss how to unroot any android smartphone easily.

1. Using The Root App

After rooting your device, you would have install any root handling app like SuperSU, KingUser etc. Each app comes with inbuilt unroot function which is possible the best easiest & safest method to unroot any android phone.

2. Through File Manager

While rooting your device, the software places a small file known as Su binary which is the root file. All the permission are granted via this bin file. To unroot your device simply delete this file. Although this has quite less success rate like around 85%. To Unroot your device follow this steps :-

1. Download any root file explorer but, I recommend ES File Explorer.

2. Grant root permission to the app & enable R/W (Read and Write) mode. You can find this option in the menu (drag left to right) select Root Explorer. This mode allows you to edit files.

3. Go to device (From The Top Menu) Go to sytem -> bin folder, you will found a file named  as 'su'. Delete it.

3. Through Kingo Root

All of you might be knowing about the famous Kingo Root App for PC, as it claims to root almost every Android device. Along with Rooting its also has unrooting feature which is simple & risk free. To remove root,
  1. Enable USB Debugging mode in your phone. (Settings -> Developer Options -> USB Debugging Mode)
  2. Connect your phone to your PC.
  3. Launch the Kingo Root App & wait for the App to detect your device.
  4. Once its detected, Kingo Root will automatically detect that your device is rooted. It will show an option, “Remove Root”.
  5. Click on that option & wait 2-3 mins.
  6. Done, you have successfully unrooted your device.

4. Flashing Stock / OTA Update

Manufacturers don't allow updates for rooted phones. You can remove your phone root by manually flashing your phone’s OTA update or stock rom. As it bit difficult you should use this method only if you were not able to root your device through any of the above methods.

As we all know every good thing comes with disadvantage, there are few disadvantages of rooting too. If you have any problem in any of the above methods you can comment down your problem. Keep in mind that, the manufacturer won’t consider your phone under warranty even after rooting, so make sure you don’t go to their Service center & demand for service after rooting your Android.
